21/02/2012 - Eni and Petrofac seek to build Karachaganak gas processing plant

KAZINFORM Italy's Eni and British Petrofac seek to build Karachaganak gas processing plant, head of the National Company "KazMunayGas" Lyazzat Kiinov said at the Government's sitting on Tuesday.
Karachaganak gas processing plant will have to provide commercial gas for Kazakhstan gasification project. According to Kiinov, this project feasibility study has already been prepared.According to the Chairman, there are two variants of the project implementation proposed by the companies Eni and Petrofac - 2015-2019 at a cost of USD 4.9 billion and 2013-2016 at a cost of USD 2.5 billion respectively.
It is needed to form a working group of the Ministry of Oil and Gas and begin negotiations on the supply of raw materials from Karachaganak project.
